Media Watch and Response
The purpose of this site to correct errors, omissions, and misrepresentations in the media concerning issues related to Turkey, Turkish and Turkic peoples, through an all-volunteer network. You don’t have to be Turkish or Turkic to join. If unfair defamations, deceptive manipulations, bias, and bigotry in the media bother you, then this is the place for you.
We try to give the unsuspecting reader, listener, viewer, and/or otherwise consumer of news and commentaries the other side of the story (neglected so often, sometimes deliberately) so that the latter can make better-informed judgments about Turkish history, heritage, culture, folklore, economy, politics, and other issues. This is not a site for chats, games, group therapy, or networking. This is a task-oriented-site.
A volunteer is expected to register with this site, get an id and a password, and log on to view the daily MEDIA WATCH & RESPONSE REPORTS. There will be comments provided at the end of each news item and an address to write comments to. The rest is up to the volunteer.
Under ideal conditions, the volunteer responds to the news item and lets this website know about it, so that we can monitor our collective response frequency and share our findings with you.
Of course, each volunteer can also post his/her own news by clicking on the appropriate button.
The motto we use is: “Everyday ahead of the day before!” So far, we have been able to keep up with our motto. Won’t you join us now?
Thank you for your support.
